Learn Before Creating Your Own Website

So you registered your domain, you have it, you love it, great! The next step is to find a host for your site. A web host provides you with space for your domain, where you can upload your site. You have to upload your site to see it on the web. Web hosts give you the tools and support to create your web site. They give you technical support, and tutorials on how to create a good looking site.

If you didn't create an email address at the same place you registered your domain you can have an email account to your domain at your web host too (name@yourdomain.com). It is not necessary to host your site at the same place where you registered your domain. You can choose whichever host you want, you can find specific instructions on how to host your web site on their server with your domain. You don't have to have any special skill to do this.
You can find free web hosts on the web, but I recommend that you use a web host that charges you for the service. When you use a free web host, you will have lots of limitations, i.e. you can't sell anything, or you can't place ads on your site. The servers of a free host can go down easily, and if this happens, your site will go offline too, and believe me you don't want this to happen if you want to build your business seriously. Hosts that charge you even have better services and support than free hosts and your site will never be down if you use them. Of course you will have to look around to find one suitable for your needs.

I found a great host called Powweb. They offer free and unlimited space for FTP and for emails. They have an easy to use web site builder, with tons of preset themes, which you can modify as you like, but if you don't like it you can use your own site builder too. They created a "Knowledge Base" where you can find answers to a lot of questions you might have. If you don't find an answer to your question they have a live chat support available, where you can ask questions directly to the technicians. Make sure you check them out: http://www.powweb.com/
